Nice to meet you! My name is Kanna Sato, and I’m a third-year high school student living in Amemiya, Japan. Everyone at school calls me “Kankan.”
Every day feels a little different lately. Maybe it’s because graduation is getting closer… I’m not really sure. But these days, even the most ordinary moments seem to sparkle.
I have a really big sweet tooth! On my way home from school, I like to wander around town, popping into little shops and cafés, searching for sweets that make my heart flutter. Somehow, just finding something delicious can turn an average day into a special one.
I love writing letters. There’s something magical about putting feelings into words and imagining someone, somewhere, reading them just for me.
If you’d like, I could write to you. I could tell you about my school life, my worries, and the small things that made me smile that week. Maybe I could even teach you a few simple Japanese phrases, little by little. For starters, “doki-doki” means my heart is racing.
Love,KanKan (。♥‿♥。)ノ♡
What is Tegami Club?
Sometimes, I feel lonely and want to connect with people all over the world. Tegami Club is my way of sharing my story and a few treats from Japan with friends wherever they may be.
Tegami (手紙 – てがみ) is the Japanese word for a letter and I’m starting this club to spread some happiness.
Each month, I’ll write you a letter and share a bit of my story and pack a few of my favorite snacks for you to enjoy. I hope that you can find a few moments of joy while you read my stories and enjoy the tastes of Japan.
Join my club today. Every month, you’ll receive a box of treats, a Tegami from me in Japanese, a translation and some useful phrases, and my thanks and friendship.
